Philip Guedalla's republished essays, Men of Letters (Hodder and Stoughton, 2s. 6d.), this mocking description of the literary review struck home—" where the unread exchange their mutual raptures "—but we deny its truth. Mr. Gucdalla is often unkind and unjust, but he is always witty.
