Son. 6s.)—These full-page pictures of animals are of rather unequal merit. Some are excellent in decorative effect,—the leopard, for instance, is beautiful in line ; the mice, too, are delightful in their inconsequent scuttle across the page. The cat is an example of failure to perceive the characteristic form and expression of this most beautiful of domestic animals.
