'Book of Daniel'

Sir: With reference to Auberon Waugh's review of The Book of Daniel, the Rosenbergs were, in fact, completely innocent for the Americans at that time did not possess an anti-missile missile, the secrets of which they were accused of selling or giving to the Russians. Even today, the Americans have no anti-missile missiles. • What appears to be happening in America is that the persons responsible for falsifying the aims of Communism and thus starting the Cold War, the Korean War and the Vietnam War — the soft-intellectuals or left-wing intellectuals — are putting on hair shirts and wringing their hands in remorse.

In 1920, these left-wing intellectuals rushed to Russia with high hopes but returned disillusioned on discovering that Russian Communism was very far from being the Bible Communism of their dreams, and joined the CIA en masse in order to work actively for the overthrow of Russian Communism, and later Chinese Communism, and the establishment of regimes based on what is called "Communism with a human face" run by ' sensitives.'

Bible Communism consists of 'free love,' sodomy, bestiality, drugs and all the other vices possession of which denote, according to the Archbishop of York, and distinguish the truly "great men " like Plato and Socrates and Lord Kelvin and Lord Keynes from the common herd.

Both this country and America have been going downhill following the rise to power, either in the Civil Service or as government advisers, of left-wing intellectuals. The inexorable defeat of America in Vietnam can be traced back step by step to the original advice of Chinese scholars in 1940 that the USA should firmly support Chiang Kai-shek, supposedly because he was strongly anti-Communist but in reality because he desired to rule as an emperor in the style of the Ming Dynasty emperors. Later, these same Chinese scholars transferred their support to Liu Shao Chi and Wang Ming with whom until very recently they had 'illicit relations.' For further details I refer you to an article entitled, `Modern Chinese,' Part I, in Fife News.
