Sir: Messrs Hall and Waterhouse protest too much. Their arrangement

with their agent is no concern of mine. Furthermore, I have checked with my bank (not Barings) and I learn that the sum of 15 guineas in the mid-1960s is the equivalent of some £120 nowadays in (I think the phrase is) real terms. An ample reward for a skip being given a second life.

May I usurp your prerogative and suggest that this correspondence is now closed? Ned Sherrin
