An application was made at the office of the Chancellor

of the Ex- chequer to. day, for the purpose of ascertaining whether his Lmaiship had again changed his mind about the reduction of tim Stamp and Ad- vertisement-duty, already ordered by the House of Commons ; no bill for that purpose having, yet been brought in. The answer was, that the delay in bringing in time bill was merely one of form, and that his Lordship intends as speedily as possible to follow up the resolution of the House of Commons.
