It is pretended that a split is likely to take

place between Earl GREY and his brother-in-law, Mr. ELLICE, on account of the reforms which the latter proposes to effect in the expenditure of the Army. This is not very likely, if it be true, as we believe, that Mr. ELLICE accepted the office of Secretary of War, only upon an express understanding with the King that he should not be thwarted in his views of Military Economy.
