THE THREE ICEMEN.

It is a curiosity of this most curious year that one of the first days that was quite free from frost was the first day of the so-called Festival qt the Three Icemen, who are regarded on the Continent as the worst enemies of the fruit trees. Their festival falls on the 12th, 18th, and 14th of May, which are held to be the most regular and certain of the cold spells.
