The first annual general meeting of the Anglo-Oriental Mining Corporation,

Limited, was characterized by the very satisfactory report of the first year's working, although the conditions must have been difficult by reason of the fluctu- ations in the price of tin. A movement in the direction of rationalization and co-operation of producers has, however, been of some assistance, and the chairman, Mr. John Harrison, stated that in his opinion the tin mining industry was now substantially re-equipped, better organized, better adminis- tered, and infinitely better able to face the future than ever before.
