Set by N. Hodgson 1951. Alice, after sleeping for 70 years, wakes up in Whitehall. A prize of £5. which may be divided, is offered for not more than 250 words of what she finds there.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, W.C.1, in envelopes marked " Competition," and must be receised not later than May 30th. Results will be published in the Spectator of June 8th.
