The Leeds Mercury reports an agreeable novelty in the amusements

of the working-classes- "The Committee of the Bradford Teetotal Association have resolved upon esta- blishing weekly concerts in their place of meeting during the winter season, for i which some of the best vocal and instrumental talent in the town has been en- gaged. The first of the series was given on Wednesday evening week, to a crowded audience: the entertainment was excellent. The selection of music, songs, and glees, had been carefully made, and the whole were performed in a manner that gave the greatest satisfaction 'to the audience; many of whom expressed them- selves highly delighted with this novel plan of providing innocent and agreeable entertainment for working-people away from public-houses and associations of vice and intemperance.
