He did a wise thing when he decided to send to India the important South African deputation which has just left Durban to study Indian conditions on the spot. The party consists of 'seven members of Parliament, headed by Mr. Beyers, the Minister of Mines. I think the suggestion of sending a South African deputation to study conditions in India was originally made by one of the Indian delegates at the last Imperial Conference.
