Sta,—Does Dr. Moore's statement represent the attitude of the ordinary doctor? Perhaps an ordinary patient may reply. If Dr. Moore had the opportunity to listen, as a layman, to the opinions of patients, he might be surprised to learn how few have the " perfect trust" which he assumes is necessary in his profession. On the contrary, patients know very well how difficult it is to change a doctor, and the doctor they wish to call in may refuse to take a patient from a colleague. What, in effect, does " selling a practice" mean? It means neither more nor less than selling
