TIIE Queen has taken her usual rides during the week, and enter-. tained a good deal of dinner company. Among the distinguished per- sons honoured with invitations to the Royal table, were the Earl and Countess of Albemarle, the Honourable William Cowper, Earl of Surry, Earl and Countess of Charlemont, Lord John Churchill, Lord Palmerston, Sir John Hobliouse, Mr. Spring Rice, the Earl of Liver- pool, and the Ladies Jenkinson.

Thursday being the birth-day of the Dutchess of Kent, the Foreign Ministers and most of the nobility and gentry in town left their names on the visiting-book of her Royal Highness at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen went to the Italian Opera on Tuesday evening. Preparations are making at Windsor for the reception of the Queen; who is expected to take up her residence at the Castle on thet 24 instant.

The Queen Dowager still talks of visiting some bathing-place on the Southern coast ; but it is not decided which.

The Queen has presented the Queen Dowager with a miniature of herself, splendidly set in a gold bracelet.
