Mr. RRIND'S Elements of Geology and Physical Geography, "forms the

first of a series on Natural Science, intended as ele- mentary works to the general student, but more especially to meet the views of the comprehensive system of early education now generally pursued." So far as the mere naked facts of the science go, this scheme is not illy accomplished in the little volume before us; at least it contains as many facts as it will hold. But it is deficient in principles; without which, no science can be believed or comprehended, much less learned.
