The , telegrams bring rumours of discontent and even insurrec- tion

in Greece, and the National Assembly has again adjourned the annexation of the Ionian Islands. We record both statements, the first as probably false, the second as probably true ; but it must be remembered that every statement from Greece affects the most speculative stock in the market, and the temptation to invent is, consequently, very considerable.
