Anxreatx•r, Jan. 17.-Vice-Admiral of'the Blue M. H. Dixon has been appointed to receive a pension of 1501. a year, as provided for in her Majesty's Order in Coun- cil of 25th June 1851, vacant by the death of Admiral R. Curry, C.B. ; and the name of Vice-Admiral M. H. Dixon has been removed-to-the reserved half-pay, list accordingly ; and in consequence of this removal the following promotions, dated -the 28th ult. have taken place--Rear-Admiral of the Bed Sir W. 0. Pell to be Vice- Admiral of the Blue ; Rear-Admiral of the White H. W. Bruce to be Bear-Admiral of the Red ; Rear-Admiral of the Blue H. B. Martin, K.C.B. to be Bear-Admiral of the White ; Capt. Hon. G. J. Cavendish to be Bear-Admiral on the reserved list; Capt. C. Talbot to be Bear-Admiral of the Blue.
