Certainly the market for investment • stocks has been pretty severely tested during the early days of the year, for within little-more than a fortnight we have had Trustee loans issued giving a total of well over £25,000,000. There was the Indian Loan for £10,000,000 in 4} per cents. at 91, which was followed by the New Zealand Loan for £7,000,000, already referred to, and now at the moment of writing comes the news of an £8,000,000 Loan for the Commonwealth of Australia in 5 per cents. at the price of 98. Moreover, in addition there , has been an issue of Wakefield Corporation stock for £750.000, while that issue is expected to be followed before long by the flotation of other corporation loans. -
