Mr. Welford and Sir David Baird continue an active canvass of East Lothian, in competition with each other, but not apparently in any spirit of hostility. Both object to the Game-laws; Sir David going for modification, Mr. Welford for total repeal; and it is supposed that the farmers favour the Total Repealer. Colonel Ferguson Davie offers himself as a Liberal candidate for the lIaddington district of burghs.
