The Court and Camp of Bonaparte, is a spirited anecdotic

collec. tion of brief biographies of NAPOLEON, his Generals, and his Ministers. They are put together with industry, taste, and libe- rality. We think DE BOURRIENNE is somewhat hardly dealt with ; though we are quite prepared to admit that his representa- tions are all to be taken with a qualification, and that the latter livraisons are strongly tainted with the spirit of book-making. This is a second edition of the Court and Camp in name only ; it is in fact a new and far superior work under an old title.
