NEW EDITION.—Ill the series of "The King's Poets" (Alex. Moring,

3s. 6d. net),4The Prelude, by William Wordsworth, with Notes and Introduction by Basil Worsfold. The Prolegomena are biographical and critical, and are of excellent quality. The early history of Wordsworth's poems is a curious chapter in the history of criticism. Every young man, before he takes to the business of reviewing, ought to read it carefully. The Edinburgh Review said of the "Intimations of Immortality" that it was " illegible.and unintelligible," as it had said that "Christabel " was a mixture of raving and drivelling. Wordsworth when he was sizty-five had not received for his poems more than £1,000.
