Black. 15s. net.)—This substantial volume of over twelve hundred pages, compiled by a large number of experts under Mr. Ellis's direction, will be of the greatest value to all gardeners, amateur or professional. The general articles on garden design, insect pests, vegetables, and so on are concise and practical, and there are, of course, innumerable shprt articles on particular plants. The book is printed in large type and has at the end a very full gardening calendar of work to be done month by month throughout the year.
