We note with satisfaction the very great success already achieved

by the King's Proclamation. It has unquestionably done far more to bring home the need for food-saving than any other means yet adopted. We are glad to say that that most efficient voluntary organization, the War Savings Committee, has taken up the work through its- branches, and is now getting members of households throughout the land to pledge themselves to carry out the injunctions contained in the King's Proclamation.
