CANARY-FANCIERS can cross the Lon- don International Financial Futures Ex- change off their list of prospective tenants at the Wharf. The member firms, so I understand, would rather have their Ex- change somewhere near where their offices are. (The Stock Exchange's vacant trading floor is also going out in the betting, with the favourite a new floor above the tracks at Cannon Street station.) Anxious to be constructive, I can now suggest suitable tenants for Canary Wharf. The views from its south-facing office suites now stretch across water to encompass — from right to left — the Docklands hotel (work sus- pended), the Wiggins development (shares suspended) and the SQP3 building (in receivership this week.) These offices must be the ideal location for the property- lending departments of the banks.
