No intimation respecting the interest on Exchequer Bills has been

received from Mr. Seanso RICE; but the Bank has given notice, that it will make loans on Exchequer Bills, after the 21st instant, at the rate of per cent. interest ; SUVII IthoRS to be repayable on or before the 16th of January : we presume the Bank will do this to It very limited extent. This morning it became known that the bank of Fosma and Co. of Carlisle had stopped payment ; end the bed feeling occasioned by the intelligence drove down the price of Consuls about I per cent. ; thus proving how dangerous it is to indulge in favourable anticipations in such times us these, on the appearance of a slight turn toward pros- perity. From the City article of the Chronicle this morning, it might have been supposed that all was going on well again in the money- market.
