The English Opera closed on Tuesday, with a variety of

perform- ances, for the benefit of Mr. PEAKE, the Treasurer,—wbich mustered VESTRIS, CHARLES MATHER'S, WILSON, BARTLEY, and MEADOWS, in addition to the regular company. The house was a bumper; and showed that Mr. PEAKE'S claims as a public entertainer are not for- gotten.
