Sir: I am deeply distressed by your pb ishing the paragraph by my friend Peregrine Worsthorne (Notebook, 29 -October) in corn' which he stated that I have 'little sympathy for the cause of black power'. What I've always said, and written in nlY books and in my South African newspaper articles, is that I am opposed to power, to repression, restriction, cruelty, detention without trial whether operated bY Afrikaner, Chilean, Chinese, Russian, 'Ugandan governments, whatever plexions their leaders may possess.
