Game for a Daimler

with Dame Edna Everage

Hello Possums!

Although I'm as Left as they come, I've always had a soft spot for that marvellous old Maverick from the Orkney Isles — cuddly, tweedy, Old Etonian, whale lover — Jo Grimond. Of all the titles I've ever had the privilege to recommend, when a Certain Person asked me if She thought he should be ennobled, I was tickled pink to give Jo the thumbs up. Thanks to me he can now have his lunch in the same room as M' Lords Weidenfeld, Gormley and Kagan. Whenever this well-preserved old statesman bumps in- to me, incidentally, I'm always flattered to notice that he flicks up the volume of his auricular appliance. This week his typically clever question has, spookily enough, no textbook answer. Prizes for cleverness here. This will test the wits and humour of all Speccy wags and pundits.

Have a go, Jo!

Question No. 5

Set by Jo Grimond

Most of us have heard of Margaret Thatcher's 'Victorian Values' (though I for one am still in some doubt as to their exact nature). I should be most intrigued to hear what competitors feel are the values appropriate to the present day. You are asked to list what you think are the six major contemporary values with examples.
