Eastwards (The Blue Peter Publishing Company, Ltd., 12 St. Mary

Axe, E.C. 3, 5s.) is modestly described in the sub-title as " the superficial observations of an occasional traveller," and the description is an accurate one. The traveller is Mr. F. A. Hook, who takes a return ticket to Colombo, spends two strenuous months sight-seeing in India, and returns home by way of Bombay. The book is illustrated by line drawings of some of the architectural beauties of India. We feel that Mr. Hook, has like many travellers, enjoyed very much noting down his impressions of this interesting trip. * * * *
