Snr,—With reference to your article in which you advocate the institu- tion of certain days of total abstinence from meat, sugar, &c., may I point out that the same object is attained with even better results by abstinence from meat or any article selected at one meal in each day in the week ? This does not derange the system in the same manner as does total abstinence on one whole day, the saving in the week is even greater, and moreover the effort can be longer sustained.—! am,
