After stating that the Government were tackling the revision of

the Register, Mr. Long dealt with great vigour and good sense with the so-dalled grievances of the married men. To meet casm of avoidable hardship the Government are going to supply out of the -Statutory Pensions Committee the rlioney that is needed to - meet those hardships. Next, the Courts Emergency Powers Act is to be amended so as to apply to contracts made since the war began. It is also proposed that power should be given to the County Court Judges in certain cases to break a lease.
