Your turn, Fayed

Sir: In his letter of 25 March, Mohamed Fayed calls me a 'coke-sniffing columnist'. He is referring to my bust for possession of cocaine in 1983. I paid my debt to society long ago. But Mr Fayed could do worse than be called a coke-sniffer. He could be certified as dishonest by a British govern- ment enquiry, which he was. That is good enough for me.
