Dr. Quail, who bad served as surgeon in the Polish

army, was taken before the Magistrate at Queen Souare Police-office yesterday, charged with making a disturbance at the Treasury. It appeared that, being an Englishman, his name could not be entered on the Polish pension-list, anti he had applied to the Tre:tsnry for compensation ; where, his 'hopes were kept alive by prmnises that were continually broken, until he could endure disappointment no loner. On Thursday evening he again applied, and refused to depart without the amount of his claims : he was then given into custody. The Magistrate discharged him on a promise not to repeat such conduct.
