Sin,—In London cheapness cannot be expected, nor even reasonable charges. Fashion is, and always has been, the most expensive factor in life. I append a comparative table of the charges in a provincial centre which will show that apart from travelling your correspondent could have obtained what was required for at least 40 per cent, less than the Swiss charges.
