Cissy's Troubles. By Dailey Dale. (Nisbet and Co.)—Cissy, the heroine

of this simple little story, is all the more attractive because she is "not too bright and good, &c." On the contrary, she has a distinct spice of wilfulness. But then, she is the very best of sisters. Her painful struggles with circumstances, when she is left to manage on the narrowest of incomes, are told with much pathos, which reaches its climax when she sells her wealth of beautiful hair to buy clothing for the young folk that are dependent on her.
