THE REFERENDUM.

[To the Editor of the SPECTATOR.] SIR, -Ilt re the question as to the Referendum in your issue of the 24th inst., the following Parliamentary candidates have

replied to me :—

(1) " I support the Referendum in its proposed application to the generality of important national measures, as opposed to retentim of the House of Lords.
