At a meeting of the Decorative Art Society, on Wednesday,

Mr. Crabb read a valuable paper on the application of colour to decorative purpoees, as exemplified in Persian, Grecian, Roman, and modern Italian edifices. Another paper is promised, in which he will consider the application of colours. to manufactures. If Mr. Cmbb could supply the want of some well-defined enunciation of the principles that should govern ornamental art„ he would do a good service.
