An extract from a general order issued by the Government of India, respecting a first distribution of the i Delhi prize-money, fixes the rate at 86 rupees per share. The following s to be the scale of shares for European officers and soldiers : " Major general, 76 shares ; brigadier, 51 shares ; colonel or lieutenant-colonel, 17 shares ; major, 16 shares ; surgeon, 15 shares; paymaster, 12* shares ; captain, 12 shares ; adjutant, assistant-surgeon, and interpreter and quartermaster, 10 shares ; riding master, 9 shares ; lieutenant over seven years' service, 7* shares : lieutenant under seven years' service, and. quartermaster, 61, shares ; ensign, shares."

Together with any additional shares to which they or any of theni may be entitled in virtue of additional pay for length of service.
