Tennant, is the thoroughness with which they deal with the main financial and industrial features of the year under review. While fully recognizing the serious problems of industry and unemployment which have to be dealt with, Mr. Tennant did not overlook the fact that in many directions there has been -real improvement during the past year, and ample evidence of that fact was afforded by the Board of: Trade state- ment of the national output in the September quarter. This showed that tlie output was no less than 10 per cent. above the level of the previous twelve months.
