The writer of the weekly comments on the United Nations

Assembly in last week's Spectator may be right in saying that the style and title United Nations Organisation is incorrect, but that the abbreviation U.N.O. will remain established is a safe prediction. A pronounceable combination of initials—such as U.N.R.R.A.—is in- valuable. " U.N.O." makes two syllables "United Nations " makes five. U.N.O. has it all the time.
