8 The Court of Queen's Bench yesterday gave judgment in the

case of tochd.ale versus Hansard. It was to this effect—that while Parliament Privileged in all that takes place within its walls, and can publish

documents for the use of its Members, its privilege does not extend to the publication of proceedings, and sale of them to the public ; and therefore Hansard, the defendant in this case, could not plead in bar to the action brought against him by Stockdale, that he acted under the authority of the House of Commons.
