From Mrs Joy Wolfe Sir: Bravo to Douglas Davis, and

bravo again to The Spectator for printing his piece highlighting the disturbing attitude of the BBC to the current crisis in the Middle East.

The agenda of Radio Five Live and many other BBC programmes has long been a source of incredulity to me. Twice they have been willing to give air-time to a Hamas spokesman, thus apparently condoning a proscribed terrorist organisation. This certainly makes Douglas Davis's decision not to lay himself open to the BBC's loaded questioning seem like a wise one.

Perhaps we should be asking if homicide bombing and murder in cold blood of babies, women and children is morally repugnant, but I won't hold my breath for Radio Five Live to be holding that debate.
