FURTHER LIQUIDATION.

WITH the exception of Gold Mining Shares, which have risen in sympathy with the further advance in the price of the metal, the Stock Markets during the, past week have suffered from further liquidating sales. British Government and kindred securities have been almost consistently dull throughout the week, but the set-back has also spread to other markets, including Home Industrial Shares. English Railway Stocks have moved uncertainly. The dividends were satisfactory but the weekly traffics are leaving a good deal to be desired.
