Employment agencies

Sir: As one who has used employment agencies on one or two occasions (merely because I was not around to do the job myself), I agree absolutely with the comments you make in your issue of January 18.

I agree even more wholeheartedly with your reply to Mr Donald Cropper's petulant and somewhat subjective letter. As for the letter you received from Mr Bernard Marks, Chairman of the Federation of Personnel Services, the mind absolutely boggles at his threat (February 8). Were all your correspondents to react in this way, you would have no room for anything but readers' letters which would be a shame as I enjoy your articles a lot more than some of the trivia you receive from supposedly responsible people.
