RALLY IN RUBBER SHARES.

In the speculative markets a 'good- feature of _the 'week has been the better tendency of Rubber shares. This, in its turn, can be attributed to the effect produced upon the commodity itself by the latest announcement from the Colonial Office with regard to the exports of rubber from our Dominions. It is true, that for the moment there has been a relaxation of restriction of exports, but the position is safeguarded by a provision that should the average price of rubber during the --ext three months fall below ls. 9d.- per lb. restrictions will

imposed during the following quarter. This has held out hopes of something like a stabilization of the price of rubber, and the effect has immediately been seen on the shares.
