Islam and the West Sir: We should be grateful to

Andrew Faulds for warning us that by 1985 Saudi Arabia will hold two-thirds of the world's monetary resources and that 'it has become the Babylon of the millennium'. But, leaving aside Mr Faulds's inadequate understanding of the word millennium, let us beware of his urging that we British should be 'shouting the odds' in his Saudi paradise. Can he really be so naïve? Doesn't he understand that Islam, with its centre of gravity in Saudi Arabia, wants to dominate the Christian • West ? When the Saudis have all that economic power we will be puppets on a tough Islamic string.
