Lack of insight?

Sir: I was at the meeting organised by Black Insight which Roy Kerridge writes about in his article 'Jolly Boateng weather' (17 April). It seems to be curious that when the burden of Mr Kerridge's argument is that a separatist and radical tendency is develop- ing within the black community he should rely so heavily on evidence collected from a meeting where black voters in Brent were quizzing candidates on the policies of the three major parties before deciding how to vote in the borough elections.

It's possible, of course, that Mr Kerridge was knowingly offering a crudely distorted account of the meeting. But could it also be the case that he was somewhat confused about what he was trying to say?
