Private Eye story

Sir: Nigel Dempster shows in his piece about Peter McKay's 'book' Inside Private Eye that he is as ill-fitted to review books as McHackey is to write them. I was surprised that you should consider his article significant enough to headline it on your front cover.

The true story of the Cecil Parkinson shock horror of March 1985 was printed in Private Eye issue 634. Needless to say, it shows Mr Dempster in a slightly less heroic light.

I am too pre-occupied with earning my pension to repeat it in your columns free of charge.
