By means of OLIVER and BOYD'S batch of Catechisms, tolerably

copious instruction may be obtained in Latin, French, and Eng- lish Grammar, English Composition, Christian Instruction, Zoology, the History of England and Scotland, the Works of the Creation, Perspective, and Geography, for the 'small sum of eight .shillings and sixpence. We are no friends to the system of pub- lishing treatises in question and answer ; but it is impossible to object to receiving really very ample, and in many cases sufficient instruction in a branch of learning, for ninepence. For instance, we think the Catechisms of French and of Latin Grammar, con- tain every thing that needs to be in a grammar, and that with them no other grammar will be wanted ; and-they may be had for ninepence each !
