A further redaction has been made in the Bank rates

of discount, and the minimum quotation now rules at 6 per cent. with the prospect of a fall to 5 per cent. on Thursday next. The Bank return is very favourable, there being an increase of 1,059,8001. in the supply of bullion, and an augmentation of 1,313,405/. in the reserve of notes and coin. The former is now 15,832,0201., and the latter, 6,933,5101. The Paris minimum rate of discount is reduced to 3 per cent., and the supply of bullion held by the Bank of France is increased to 29,890,0001.
