The Philharmonic Society's third Concert of the season on, Monday

evening last, presented no very remarkable feature. Herr Otto Goldzehmidt (the husband of Jenny Lind) performed a pianoforte concerto of Beethoven. He was an eminent pianist in his younger days, but had long ceased to appear in public. His playing was correct and musician-like, but betrayed a want of the unremitting practice which is necessary for a great performer. The orchestral pieces were Haydn's ninth Symphony in B flat, Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony, Mendelssohn's Overture to dthalie, and Weber's Overture to Oberon. Gardoni (just arrived in London for the season) sang Mozart's air, "O ears immagine," from the Zauberflote, and "Se i miei sospiri," the pathetic old melody of Stradella. Mdlle. Titiens and Signor Giuglini, instead of appearing, as was expected, at her Majesty's Theatre, have been singing at concerts at Liverpool, Leeds, and other towns in the provinces. A. strong vocal and instrumental party, including Madame Alboni and Miss, Arabella Goddard, are making a provincial tour under the auspices of Mr. Willed Beale, and giving brilliant and successful per- formances.
